Drake Collectibles very first model combination release was the Kenworth T908 Drake 2×8 Dolly and 4×8 Swingwing trailer. This model was released in March 2010. This release consisted 6 standard colours and 2 company liveries with a total of 2000 model combinations. The 6 standard colour combinations included Kenworth Ice White, White with Post 0ffice Red dolly/trailer, corporate Orange and Blue of Drake Trailers, Gunmetal, Vintage Burgundy and Chrome Yellow. The company liveries of McAleese Transport and NQ Heavy Haulage made 8 in total. These models rapidly sold out which prompted a second release in August 2011. The Kenworth Ice White, White with Post 0ffice Red dolly/trailer, corporate Orange and Blue of Drake Trailers, Gunmetal, Vintage Burgundy where released again but this time they all had the new Drake Trailers logo and branding. The second release of these popular colours can be identified by the letter B add to the part number. The Chrome Yellow combination was not reproduced. The second release also contained 4 new model liveries consisting of Doolan Heavy Haulage, NQHH truck called “Pure Blonde” Tenkate Plant Hire and Lampson. These new company livery models have now become a very sort after collector’s piece, and you will have to pay a premium price to add them to your collection. To celebrate Drake Collectibles 10-year anniversary a special release T908 – Drake 2×8, 4×8 model combination was released. This limited release certificated model also came with a history booklet with all Drake Collectible model releases.
